Bangladesh Bamboo & Crafts Exports See 35% Growth in 2025

Bangladesh's bamboo and handicraft export sector recorded a 35% year-on-year growth in the first quarter of 2025, driven by surging demand from home decor retailers across Europe and North America, according to industry data reviewed by our sourcing team.

What's Driving the Growth

Retailers are responding to consumer demand for natural, sustainably produced home goods — bamboo baskets, woven storage, decorative panels, and eco-friendly gift items are leading the surge. Many of these buyers are shifting orders away from plastic and synthetic-material suppliers entirely.

What This Means for Buyers

The growing order volume means lead times on popular bamboo and craft SKUs are lengthening slightly during peak season. Buyers planning larger seasonal orders should build in extra lead time or lock in production slots with their supplier earlier than usual.

Europe Bangla Group's Global Craft division has expanded partner-workshop capacity to keep pace with this demand while maintaining the same QC and compliance standards applied across our apparel and leather divisions.
